If you go to Chinese restaurant or other oriental/Asian restaurant, mostly you can see this dish on the appetizer menu.This simple and easy dish sound exotic but will please peanut butter lovers. This dish can be serve as salad or as a meal it self.

Here is simple Chinese sesame noodles recipe. This recipe is perfect for next cooking project with your kids. Quick, easy, and of course delicious. Yet will provide some opportunity to introduce about world cuisine especially Chinese and learn more about Chinese culture. I am sure your children will love it.

What You Need

Ingredients:

1 lbs cooked Chinese noodles or spaghetti

5 scallion, thinly slices

1 tsp chopped ginger

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup hot water

1/3 cup soy sauce

1 tbsp honey

1-2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

3 tbsp roasted peanuts, chopped

thinly slices cucumber for garnishing, matchstick


How to Fix

Method:

  • In a mixing bowl, mix peanut butter and hot water. Then add in honey, garlic, ginger and soy sauce. Whisk until its well blended and creamy. Add in noodles. Mix well to coat all the noodles evenly with peanut butter sauce.
  • Sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds, chopped roasted peanut and garnish with cucumber. Ready to serve. Serve it warm or cold.

Super simple recipe that a kid could actually make without supervision, thanks to the crystal clear explanation. It's also a recipe with a very unique twist. This looks and sounds like a real winner! I'm no kid but I'm about to try this one myself. A true "wow" recipe!
